Will the PDF look like it does in Word?
Close, for most documents. Calibri and Cambria are drawn with metric-matched stand-ins when your computer does not have them, so lines break where Word broke them; other fonts the file does not embed are substituted by your browser and the result note tells you which. Tab stops render at a default width, and page breaks can differ from Word's by a line or so.
Is the text in the PDF selectable and searchable?
Yes. Each page is an image of the layout with an invisible text layer laid from the browser's own line boxes, so you can search, select and copy — the same technique the OCR tool uses. Text outside the Latin range is drawn but not searchable.
Does it convert .doc files?
No — .docx only. Save a legacy .doc as .docx in Word or LibreOffice first.
